The Blackout poster is a data visualization project grounded on facts. Blackout in 2003 was a widespread power failure occurred throughout Northeastern and Midwestern US and the Canadian province of Ontario.

The purpose of this work is to depict and narrate the very complex process to the general public in a compelling and informative way. Inspired by the government manual scripts, the design utilized an off-white background combined with muted midnight blue. Accented with pop red, the intention is to present and highlight the seriousness of the information with the ease of reading.
